Ammar Singgh (professionally recognized as Amar Singh; born 19 January 1986) is an Indian mentalist, psychological illusionist, and television personality operating across New Delhi and Mumbai. Utilizing cognitive psychology, behavioral suggestion, and sleight-of-hand conjuring, he has built an extensive performance career spanning broadcast television, corporate galas, and digital media. He is widely noted for his investigative performances on News Nation's program Operation Pakhand, where he recreates supposed supernatural phenomena using psychological and mechanical illusions to promote rationalism and critical inquiry.

Early life and formative development
Ammar Singgh was born on 19 January 1986 in New Delhi, India. Developing an early interest in puzzles, sensory perception, and classical conjuring, he pursued magic through self-directed study rather than institutionalized academies or hereditary lineages. Singgh identifies his childhood companion, Anuj, as his early mentor and primary artistic influence in developing his foundational understanding of sleight of hand and theatrical deception.

Singgh formally commenced his professional career in 2008, staging close-up magic and mentalism routines across private galas, social gatherings, and corporate functions. In 2009, he achieved his first competitive milestone by securing first prize at a regional magic competition in Delhi, which accelerated his presence across northern India's live entertainment circuits.

Professional career
Television broadcasts and early media appearances
Following his early stage work, Singgh expanded into national television programming:
* 2012: Featured across several episodes of the children's educational series Satranga Bachpan on national broadcaster DD National.
* 2013: Returned to DD National with guest illusion segments on the youth television show Kids Island.
* 2014: Collaborated with television shopping network HomeShop18, executing live on-air illusions integrated into dynamic retail and product launches.

Corporate mentalism and digital illusions
Operating commercial entertainment ventures based out of West Delhi (Ramesh Nagar) and Mumbai, Singgh developed tailored corporate packages integrating psychological mentalism with modern consumer electronics. Recognized among the early performers in India to adopt tablet-based digital magic, he combines iPad illusions, mind-reading acts, and conversational humor for high-profile client conferences, dealer meets, and executive brand activations.

His performance framework incorporates:
* Telepathic & Predictive Demonstrations: Simulating thought transmission, revealing hidden personal numbers, and forecasting spectator decisions.
* Cognitive Influence: Utilizing subtle psychological cues and neuro-linguistic principles to guide volunteer selections.
* High-Impact Visual Illusions: Performing physical stunts including glass-stress fracturing demonstrations, kinetic motion simulations, and object transformations.

Investigative television: *Operation Pakhand*
Singgh achieved widespread public recognition through his appearances on the News Nation investigative program Operation Pakhand. On the series, he recreates feats performed by self-styled miracle workers, faith healers, and occultists live in studio settings:
* Replicating spontaneous liquid and "holy water" production using hidden chemical reagents and mechanical props.
* Performing paper-to-currency transformations and spontaneous materializations.
* Simulating spiritual "energy transfers," physical levitation illusions, and occult clairvoyance techniques.

Through these appearances, Singgh approaches illusion not merely as entertainment, but as an educational medium to debunk supernatural claims and encourage scientific skepticism among audiences.

Digital presence and education
Beyond television, Singgh produces digital video series across YouTube and Instagram, including his segment *Magic Exposed*. These short-form video releases explore audience psychology, street-level micro-illusions, and the basic principles of misdirection, designed to cultivate rational thinking among younger demographics.

Institutional associations and recognition
Singgh holds honorary international leadership appointments in cross-border professional organizations:
* **Club Magic J10 (Vietnam):** Listed as India President on international representative rosters.
* **Sri Lanka Magicians’ Society:** Appointed to the office of Vice President.

Professional directories and media platforms also document his involvement in national talk shows, podcasts, and global record listings, reflecting his contributions to modernizing Indian stage conjuring and psychological entertainment.
